GALLERY: Smiles light up Kingaroy for Christmas Fair

THE smiles were as big as some of the rides at this year’s Kingaroy Christmas Carnival.

There was no mistaking Christmas is creeping closer as South Burnett residents came out in the droves for the annual Kingaroy Christmas Fair on Thursday December 12.

Hundreds of families enjoyed the huge variety of rides, side show alleys, live entertainment, and of course, a visit from the big man in the red suit.

President of the Kingaroy Christmas Carnival Committee Craig Lucas said he was extremely proud of all those who lent a hand to make the event such a success.

“Without all the help from committee members and volunteers, this event wouldn’t happen,” he said.

The event president said his motivation to be involved year after year was a simple on.

“I love seeing all the kids faces and seeing them on the rides and meeting Santa,” he said.

“That’s where our heart is.”
