PHOTOS: Stars shine bright at Kingaroy carols

KINGAROY Town Hall was full of festive cheer over the weekend for the annual Kingaroy Community Christmas Carols.

All your favourite holiday season carols were performed by the talented choirs, lead by choir leader, Sue Dowideeit-Reiger.

The choirs were backed up brilliantly by the Kingaroy High School stage band, lead by Matt Phillips.

The carols event told the story of A night in Bethlehem and was hosted by the Kingaroy District Ministers Association in support of our local school chaplains.

Cherbourg and Taabinga school chaplain, Jordan Bennett, who played Joseph in the nativity play, was very proud of the Saturday evening event.

"I think it was a great night that showed the community spirit that I love dearly," he said. "Everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves, and it's wonderful to be able to share the story of Jesus with everyone in such an entertaining format.
