YARRAMAN State School students lined up along the pool edge to cheer on their favourite teacher or parent in the biggest race of the day.

Brave teachers took on willing parents during their race at the Yarraman S.S. swimming carnival on February 8.

Before this students raced against their peers and the younger students showed off their new swimming skills.

War cries could be heard from down the road as the school's two sports houses Cook and Flinders competed in a war cry competition.

They rotated through several well-rehearsed war cries, but Cook came out on top.
