Girl, 11, missing from Mount Louisa found safe and well

UPDATE: The 11-year-old girl reported missing from Mount Louisa yesterday has been found safe and well and is back with her family.

Police would like to thank the media and public for their assistance.

EARLIER: POLICE are appealing for public assistance to locate an 11-year-old girl reported missing from Mount Louisa yesterday.

The girl was last seen around 8am on Friday December 4th. Police and family hold concerns for her welfare, as she has not made contact with family or been seen since.

She is described as Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 160cm tall, with a proportionate build, black hair and black eyes and was last seen wearing a school uniform described as a blue and yellow polo shirt and brown/pink shorts.

If anyone has seen the girl or may have information as to her whereabouts, police urge them to contact Crime Stoppers.
