
Golfers travel to compete at Burnett club
GOLF: Players from Brisbane, Caboolture, Kilcoy, Murgon, Toowoomba and Chinchilla travelled to Blackbutt to compete in the golf club's sponsor day on Saturday.
Eric, Elise, Corinne and Paul Wilson finished on top ahead of a field of 84 players.
The team won the day on 57 nett ahead of runners up Neil Ferguson, Andy Box, S Ferguson and C Stan.
Ian Jones, Gavin Jones, Ryan Jones and D Rick finished in third ahead of Jim Duff, Mark Clarkson, M McGee and Barry Richardson.
Rob Donnelly, P Thomas, Judy Beste and Terry Tully finished in fifth place ahead of Geoff Maudsley, G Rashleigh, J Millar and N Mills.
There were 17 players on course for the club's vet stroke on Wednesday.
Phil Little won the day on 67 nett ahead of Murray McGee on 68 nett and Chris Callaghan on 69.
On Saturday the club will play a 4BBB stableford as well as the monthly medal and ladies monthly medal final.
On Wednesday, November 28, veteran players will celebrate 2018 at as they play their nine-hole break-up stableford, teeing off at 9am.
