'Help us fix it': League club calls on vandals to own up
NANANGO Stags volunteers are calling on the person who vandalised the club's dressing sheds and announcers box to help them fix the damage.
Nanango Stags president Rebecca Jackson said she was disappointed to see graffiti on the buildings in full view of the road this morning.
"We are happy if the person who did it contacts us and helps us fix it and then we wont press any charges, but if you don't we cant help you," Mrs Jackson said.
"We offer a service to keep the kids off the street and as volunteers we work hard to keep it going."
The damage is a blow for the club who is preparing to host an Queensland Intrust Super Cup game between the Sunshine Coast Falcons and Norths Devils on Sunday, July 21.
"We have got working bees coming up to fix fences, put up new signs and put in new flooring in the clubhouse but we don't have time to be painting dressing sheds and replacing tin, and it is not in our budget," Mrs Jackson said.
"We have got a Q Cup game in eight weeks and we are trying to get the facilities up to the standard and we didn't need this."
To report information about the vandalism to police, call the Nanango Police Station on 4163 121.
