Here we go again with Kingaroy movie fundraiser

HOW can you resist a night out at the cinemas for a good cause?

Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women's Network Barambah Branch will be holding a movie fundraiser screening of Mamma Mia 2 Here We Go Again from 5pm on Saturday July 28.

QRRRWN state president Melissa Barnett said movie tickets for the Kingaroy Cinema fundraiser were $20 and included a glass of wine and the grazing table, before the film started at 6pm.

"It's a great film and it'll be lots of fun,” she said.

QRRRWN Barambah Branch are raising funds for their annual conference in September.

"This year is particularly important because it's 25 years of the organisation,” Ms Barnett said.

Kingaroy would be hosting the milestone conference, which is an honour for the branch since many of the original QRRRWN members came from the South Burnett, she said.

The money may also go towards registrations to support a South Burnett woman or one of Barambah branch's social print making workshops, or information sessions on drought relief or mental health.

The sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again follows Sophie as she learns about her mother Donna's past whilst she is pregnant herself.

Featuring Amanda Seyfried, Meryl Streep and Lily James, the musical will interweave many ABBA favourites into the film.

Tickets will be available until the cinema session is sold out.

To book tickets see details on the QRRRWN Barambah Facebook event page or contact Gloria on 41632848.
