High-profile facility sells

Glen Grimish and Brendan Robins of CBRE, together with Jason O'Meara of Savills have sold the ex-Honda car dealership site, a high quality showroom and workshop property in the sought-after Kunda Park precinct on the central Sunshine Coast.

The high-profile facility located at 583 Maroochydore Road transacted in September to a private Brisbane-based investor with the view of a long term hold.

"The chance to buy a property of this quality, size and positioning in Kunda Park does not come along very often, and both CBRE and Savills had good interest in this offering both during and post campaign," Mr Grimish said.

Set on a site area of 5,640sq m, the property featured a total 1,736sq m of under roof accommodation over two showroom/office buildings and a large workshop, with extensive podium car parking above.

The property was sold vacant with advanced negotiations for a new five year lease underway, and features imposing air conditioned showrooms fronting Maroochydore Road with an extensive concrete forecourt and 53 car parks.

"This is an outstanding property fronting onto one of the Sunshine Coast's major arterial roads with an enormous volume of passing traffic daily,

"Opportunities such as this are few and far between across the entire Sunshine Coast,

"Freehold properties such as this are tightly-held and increasingly difficult to find in an economic climate of growing business confidence and record low interest rates," Mr O'Meara said.

Brendan Robins commented that 583 Maroochydore Road is extremely well-positioned in the Kunda Park precinct providing maximum exposure in what is a tightly-held precinct.

"Land along Maroochydore Road is all but unavailable and this site provides a significant land parcel with high quality building infrastructure in place," Mr Robins said.

Key features of the property include an enclosed and lockable wash bay facility, a 2100l waste oil tank/oil separator, and a 1,000kg dumb waiter lift.

Additional features include remote electronic blinds in the showrooms, large areas of building facia ideal for signage, gated access to car park, large areas of glass-fronted internal display, and well-manicured areas of external landscaping.
