Highway crash victim dies in hospital

A 79-year-old Bribie Island man involved in a two vehicle crash at Tingoora earlier this week passed away in the Princess Alexandra Hospital last night.

The crash occurred around 4pm at the intersection of Chinchilla Wondai Road and the Bunya Highway on January 20.

The man, who was the driver of one of the vehicles, and his 77-year-old female passenger were both injured and transported to the PA Hospital.

A 28-year-old Greenview man, the driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, was transported to Kingaroy Hospital with minor injuries.

Police investigations are continuing.
