Holden vehicles back to 1948 can access capped service cost
EVERY Holden built since 1948 is covered under a new "Lifetime Capped Price Service" program.
The program has just been revealed by Holden, and will enable drivers to know the maximum price that they can expect to pay at every scheduled service.
Owners can find the price of their upcoming service on Holden's website or by visiting the dealer.
The program will come into effect from March 1.
"Our all-encompassing Lifetime Capped Price Servicing program is an incredible program and demonstrates yet again our commitment to our customers. Holden owners from as far back as 1948 can enjoy total peace of mind and service price transparency," Holden's executive director of aftersales Michael Filazzola said.
"This is the biggest CPS program in Australia and underlines Holden's ongoing commitment to world-class customer service and outstanding value. Our lifetime CPS means that once customers buy a Holden, of any age, new or used, we have them covered."
Capped-price servicing has been in the spotlight this week, after Kia was forced to change its terms and conditions by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
Following the investigation Kia changed its terms and conditions to ensure the prices are genuinely capped.
The changes mean capped price servicing will be attached to the car - the listed maximum capped price service cost at the time of manufacture will remain even if prices and labour costs rise.
Kia will refund any amounts paid by consumers above the capped service prices that applied to their vehicle when it was purchased.
