Home invasion with assault sees family put at gunpoint
POLICE are investigating a burglary that occurred early this morning in Parkinson, where two people were assaulted.
At around 3am, three men smashed a window of a Rokeby Street address, before entering the home and ransacking some rooms.
Three residents of the home, a man, a woman and a teenage girl were woken during the incident, and the three men demanded cash. One of the men produced what appeared to be a handgun.
Two of the residents became involved in a verbal altercation with the men, and were punched during the incident.
The trio fled the scene in a dark coloured sedan with cash, and other personal effects such as car keys and handbags.
The three are described as being of Pacific Islander appearance.
Investigations are continuing.
