Home invasion with assault sees family put at gunpoint

POLICE are investigating a burglary that occurred early this morning in Parkinson, where two people were assaulted.

At around 3am, three men smashed a window of a Rokeby Street address, before entering the home and ransacking some rooms.

Three residents of the home, a man, a woman and a teenage girl were woken during the incident, and the three men demanded cash. One of the men produced what appeared to be a handgun.
