Police seize home-made guns and ammunition

DALBY police located several home-made firearms in a vehicle following an intercept on the Warrego Hwy Tuesday night.

Officers intercepted the vehicle about 9pm and a subsequent search located a number of homemade handguns and ammunition.

A 32-year-old male in the car was charged with several offences under the Weapons Act and was released on bail, due to appear in the Dalby Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, January 6.

Dalby police declined to detail the number of weapons located, as well as associated ammunition, except that it was "several" weapons.
