Hot temperatures continue as fires spark

SANDY Ridges Rural Fire Brigade is attending to fire at Runnymede.

The Runnymede Estate South Rd blaze was reported about 9.20am today.

It comes after South Nanango Rural Fire Brigade attended a fire at Beitzel Rd, Nanango yesterday about 2pm.

The brigade's George Pike said the small grass fire was brought under control after two hours.

It was caused by a fallen tree from a previous burn-off.

The region's firefighters are on alert as the severe fire danger continues, with Kingaroy is expected to reach hit 32 degrees today.
