UPDATE: House razed in pre-dawn fire, police investigating

UPDATE: INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the cause of a fire that destroyed a Junabee home early this morning.

Fire crews were unable to contain the blaze which destroyed the vacant Roona Rd property just before 4am.

Passersby are being advised to steer clear of the scene due to the possible threat of asbestos.

 

EARLIER: A HOUSE at Junabee has been destroyed by fire early this morning.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said crews were called to the fire at Junabee to Warwick's south-east just before 4am.

Crews arrived to find the house all but destroyed.

Warwick police said the house on Junabee Rd was vacant.

There were no reports of injuries and fire investigation teams were expected to attend the scene to investigate a cause of the fire today.
