How long will fuel prices stay down?
KINGAROY drivers are enjoying some of the cheapest fuel in years, but just how long will it last?
Off the back of the new Liberty service station opening in Youngman St on the weekend, South Burnett commuters have flocked to fill up at less than $1.20/L
This has created a flow on from a number of other service stations including the BP service station on Kingaroy St dropping their unleaded price to match that of the new Liberty store.
State retail manager for Liberty Oil, Russell Reeves said he couldn't confirm how long the low prices would last but he assured drivers they would stay competitive year-round.
"We'll try to stay the cheapest in town ongoing,” he said.
Mr Reeves said he was happy with the opening of the store.
"There were some teething problems like there always is but we will fix them as we go,” he said.
