IN BRIEF: Council approves new shed for antique cars
A PETITION was received by the South Burnett Regional Council to move the Wondai Christmas tree to Coronation Park at the council's general meeting on November 21. No decision was approved to relocate the tree.
SOUTH Burnett Antique Car Club will now be able to build a storage shed at the Kingaroy Regional Enterprise Centre on Cornish St, Kingaroy. South Burnett Regional Council approved of the car club to enter into a sublease with the Kingaroy Regional Enterprise Centre Association Inc, during their council meeting on November 21. The centre was originally developed to provide support for establishing small businesses in the area, however demand for the centre has declined and has been used by several community groups instead.
SOUTH Burnett Regional Council will be conducting a realignment between their Nanango office building and the adjoining Nanango Court House property. It was revealed during investigations made for the refurbishment of the Nanango office, the boundary fence was off alignment and the building and carpark encroached onto the adjoining property. Through the boundary realignment, council will seek to formalise the encroachment onto the justice property.
THE procurement process of maintenance work on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail between Blackbutt and Moore has been completed. The next stage by Blackbutt Sand and Gravel will commence soon, with the $50,000 worth of works funded by the Queensland transport and main roads.
