Inspector guest on reopened radio

THE much loved Cherbourg Radio 94.1 was back on air this week.

Special guest Inspector Scott Stahlhut from Murgon Police Station gave listeners a brief outline on upcoming and current events in the Murgon and Cherbourg area.

Police from Murgon and Cherbourg will be utilising the radio over the coming weeks to inform residents on public announcements and police actions in the area.

Cherbourg elders were very excited about the return of the radio station when it was announced during the local level alliance meeting earlier in the week.

The elders told police the return of the radio station had been a main source of information sharing in the community, and its return is very welcomed.
