Inspired to be innovative
CHINCHILLA businesses have got the inside scoop on how to make the most of innovative ideas at a CCCI workshop.
The CCCI Innovation in Business Workshop, held on Monday night, included presentations discussing the workforce of the future and the current support available for innovative businesses in the for of grants, government programs, and support networks.
CCCI manager Robyn Haig said the feedback was very positive.
"Innovation is a hot topic with the Queensland Government at the moment so there's lots of conversation happening around business innovation,” she said.
"We have some businesses in Chinchilla who are doing very good things in that space, and also some businesses who are starting to show interest and are looking to what they can do within their business to become more innovative and diversify their income streams and keep current with trends in the economy and business world, so it was a very timely event.”
The workshop was partially funded under Advance Queensland, and Ms Haig said if there was enough interest the CCCI could potentially bring more to town.
"I would encourage anyone who wants to look into what's available to have a look on their (Advance Queensland) website and, if you would like to see a certain workshop happen in Chinchilla, let the chamber know and if there's enough interest we will definitely see what we can do to make that happen for our members.”
