Intruder Tom backing his "bro" Ryan to win Big Brother

BIG Brother evictee Tom Mackay isn't ashamed of his "bromance" with Ryan Ginns.

The 26-year-old from Sydney spent 17 days in the Big Brother house as an intruder and formed a close bond with the Sunshine Coast-raised graphic designer, who is one of the top three favourites to win the reality TV show's grand prize later this month.

"He lives around the corner from me (in Sydney)," Mackay told APN.

"I look forward to catching up with him for a beer on the outside. I think he owes me a beer and a T-bone steak for nominating me (laughs)."

Mackay believes Ryan's biggest competition is Gold Coast local Skye Wheatley, whom he labelled as immature after his arguments with her on the show.

"She sits perfectly for the Gold Coast demographic that watches the show," he said.

"They (the housemates) can still keep putting her up for eviction but at the end of the day it's the Australian public that decides the winner and if they decide she's the winner then good on her.

"But I'll be cheering for Ryan all the way."

Mackay described the original housemates, who have been locked inside the Big Brother house for more than two months with no contact with the outside world, music or even clocks, as "institutionalised".

"I think they're ready for the end," he said.

"It's a long time to be in the house but they're all in good spirits.

"I know Ryan is really missing his family."

Ryan, Skye, Leo, Richard and Penny face eviction on the show tonight. Big Brother airs at 8.40pm on Channel 9/WIN.
