Ipswich boy accused of machete slashing

A 17-YEAR-OLD Ipswich boy has been charged after allegedly attacking a youth with a machete at Sunnybank Hills.

A 15-year-old suffered serious cuts to his head and arm after being hit several times with the weapon.

The youth was taken to Mater Children's Hospital after the attack.

The Ipswich boy was due to face Brisbane Magistrate's Court charged with one count of unlawful wounding.

Police investigations are continuing.
