IF you were unusually cold this morning, you weren't alone.
Kingaroy shivered in the early hours when it was officially the coldest place in Queensland.
At 5:37am this morning the weather cooled to a near chilling 2.9 degrees, a full nine degrees below the April average.
Forecaster Michelle Berry said the cold snap was due to a dry south westerly air stream.
"The cool air really allowed the temperature to plummet," she said.
It wasn't a record breaker however, with official coldest April on record still -0.6 degrees from a cold morning back in 2008.
