Kingaroy businessman nominated for small business award

KINGAROY business owner Trent Faunt has been nominated for the Awards Australia Small Business Achiever Award.

This award is part of the 2019 Seven News Young Achiever Awards which will judged on February 27.

These awards were created to acknowledge, encourage and promote the achievements of all nominated young achievers.

Mr Faunt's nomination was inspired by his contribution to Kingaroy's community, putting a large emphasis on his efforts in negotiating and helping younger families buy their first homes.

His plans to sponsor young Kingaroy sportspeople were also recognised in his nomination.

"It's very exciting to be nominated, and I'm somewhat speechless. People have been following what I'm doing, and they've noticed that I've been working hard. It's what comes from following your dreams and passions,” Mr Faunt, who owns and runs Faunt Estate Agents, said.

"I've definitely had the right people around me and have gotten trust and support from the community, as well.”

The winner of the Small Business Achiever Award will be announced at the Awards Gala Presentation on May 3, 2019.

All award winners at the Gala will receive $2000 from Auswide Bank and a trophy.
