Kingaroy driver assaults police officer

A KINGAROY man assaulted a police officer after he drove his ute into a ditch and fence while under the influence.

The 46-year-old man was intercepted by police driving a Holden Colorado on Stuart Valley Drive at 10.25pm on Friday, March 22.

The man was driving the ute under the influence of alcohol.

He will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 25 charged with driving under the influence and assaulting a police officer.
