Kingaroy Hospital to host forum about upcoming redevelopment

THIS week South Burnett residents will have the opportunity to help shape the future of a new medical ward to be built in Kingaroy.

On Wednesday, September 25 a Community Engagement Maternity Forum will be held from 5.30-7pm at the Kingaroy Hospital's QRME training rooms.

With an average of 306 babies born at the local hospital each year, the new development will be a great asset to community.

Denelle Morrison from the Kingaroy Hospital Redevelopment team said the information night was open to all interested residents.

"The forum is an opportunity for community residents to share their thoughts and hopes for maternity services at the new hospital," Ms Morrison said.

"It will also be an opportunity for us to share the recent findings from the state-wide maternity task force and how this will impact the services we can provide in the South Burnett."
