Kingaroy newsagent awaits $1.4 million mystery lotto winner
ONE lucky lotto player will soon be receiving a very memorable phone call.
John Robinson from Robinson's Newsagency in Kingaroy sold the winning ticket to Saturday's $20million draw.
"There were 14 winners,” he said.
"Each one taking home $1.428 million.”
The newsagent owner said the new millionaires were sure to get a big surprise when they find out.
"The casket office will know their identity,” Mr Robinson said.
"As of this morning they (casket office) hadn't been able to get in contact.
"What we do know is that it is a registered player.”
Mr Robinson's family have been involved in newsagents on the South Burnett for 45 years.
He said those who say they will retire when they win lotto wasn't always the truth.
"I have known a couple of first division winners over our time, and on both of those occasions, they have not change a thing,” he said.
"I think I could find my way clear to retire.”
Big jackpots were starting to become a regular occurrence for the South Burnett business owner.
"Last week we sold the second division in Powerball from our Kingaroy store as well, Mr Robinson said.
"Now we just need to sell the $110million Powerball jackpot on Thursday.”
