WHISPERS of frost hitting Kingaroy overnight circulated throughout the town, but that was not the case.
Kingaroy reached a low of 11 degrees and while you may have been shivering this morning, frost only occurs at a temperature of four degrees or lower according to Vinord Anand, spokesman for the Bureau of Meteorology.
"Kingaroy last night was definitely nowhere near close to the frost threshold that we look for," Mr Anand said.
Mr Anand said today would be warm, with cooler temperatures to set in from Wednesday.
"Over the weekend, the temperature will get closer to a minimum of five degrees in the morning," he said.
"So frost could form on Saturday and Sunday but the maximum daily temperature will be 22 degrees."
Mr Anand said Kingaroy would see fairly good conditions for at least the next five to seven days.
"Cloud will increase from Friday, there could be a small chance for a shower but that will more likely occur on the coast than near Kingaroy," he said.
"It's looking like Kingaroy will be in for some fine, sunny days mostly."
