Kingaroy town water warning lifted
THE WARNING for pregnant women to avoid drinking Kingaroy's town water has been lifted.
Trihalomethane (THM) levels in the Kingaroy's water are now within the national drinking water guidelines.
In January Queensland Health issued a warning to pregnant women to avoid drinking the town water because of high levels of THMs.
Darling Downs Public Health Unit environmental health manager Peter Boland said extensive testing had been done by South Burnett Regional Council.
Kingaroy's town water is now being sourced from Boondooma Dam.
Before that water came from Gordonbrook Dam.
