Kingaroy teen crashes into stopped ute

AN 18-YEAR-OLD Kingaroy woman has been issued a traffic offence notice, a fine, and given demerit points after a crash in Kingaroy.

On Monday, August 26, about 9.10am police were sent to a two-vehicle crash with no reported injuries.

The crash was at the intersection of Harris Rd and Clark and Swendson Rds, Kingaroy.

Investigations revealed a vehicle had turned from Clark and Swendson Rd on to Harris Rd before drifting on to the wrong side of the road.

The vehicle then hit a utility that was stopped and waiting to turn.

Police believe speed was a factor in the incident.

The driver was issued a traffic offence notice for failing to keep left, was fined $106, and earned two demerit points.
