QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Service crews are working to contain a grass fire at Sutherland Drv in Taromeo.

It started shortly before 3.20pm after a ride-on lawn mower ignited.

The fire is about 60sq/m in size.

A QFES spokesman said there was some wind behind the fire, however, at this stage there is no threat to property.

Four crews are attending the fire.

They are a combination of urban and rural crews.

The Queensland Fire and Emergency Service wants to remind any residents who live nearby and who may have respiratory conditions to keep their windows and doors closed.
