LETTER: Swickers protesters have the right idea
CAN you imagine a world without sunshine? A world without colour, comfort or anything enjoyable?
Well welcome to the grim and oppressive world of factory farmed pigs.
As if these deprivations aren't distressing enough, pigs are subjected to agonizing mutilations and confined in cramped, barren cages.
And they all die in terror and pain.
Consequently I applaud the caring individuals who sought to raise awareness about the suffering of pigs by staging a peaceful protest outside Swickers Bacon Factory in Kingaroy. (Vegan activist speaks out about BaconFest,17/8).
If any of us were subjected to a life like theirs I'm sure we'd find it unbearable.
Well, it's just as unbearable for them so please open your hearts and give all pork products the flick.
