Police called to actors filming break-in scene

A GROUP of people who began filming a movie scene on Saturday are probably feeling pretty confident about their acting skills after several residents called police thinking they were breaking and entering.

The police officers arrived on the Rockhampton CBD scene after several people called the police about suspicious looking masked men who they believed were breaking into an empty shop.

The calls started coming through to police link around 10am, with one telling police they saw "suspicious men" hanging around a vacant block on William Street.

Another reported hearing three men shouting at one another.

When police arrived, they found the men in balaclavas but soon confirmed they were actually from a local drama group and were filming a movie.
