Making a splash after $1.490 million sale
AUCTIONEER Justin Marsden was true to his word on Saturday.
"If I sell this house today I will jump in the pool,'' he declared at the start of the auction at 3 McAnally Dr, Sunshine Beach.
The four-bedroom oceanside house was marketed by John Stamp and Rebecca Geldard of Ray White Noosa Hastings Street.
With more than 80 inspections during the four-week campaign the vendor set a competitive reserve in line with market feedback, John Stamp said.
"How good's that breeze!'' the ever-impeccable Justin Marsden said as he started the auction in the outdoor entertaining area adjoing the pool.
"There has been a lot of anticipation about this property coming to market and it's likely sale.
"It's a prized residence, plenty of character, flexibility of living areas .
"One of those houses you feel as well as see.''
After taking an opening bid of $1.2m he announced if there was further increases he would close the auction down at that.
After negotiations Justin came back and announced there had been an increased bid of $1.490m.
He called it through three times at that price and sold it to Brisbane buyers.
True to his word, Justin jumped fully clothed into the pool.
Co-marketing agent Rebecca Geldard of Ray White Noosa Hastings Street was on hand with a towel for when he got out, refreshed.
