Man, 40, suffers head injuries in Caboolture bashing

A 40-year-old Caboolture man has been hospitalised with serious head and facial injuries following an alleged assault at a Caboolture residence early Saturday morning.

Police were called to an Avocado Drive address shortly after midnight where they located the man in a semi-conscious state inside the residence.

The man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment to facial fractures and head injuries.

A 45-year-old Caboolture man, who police will allege was located at the address, has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on Monday, December 8.

Both men were known to each other.
