Man, 51, charged over Coast crash that killed 21-year-old
A BRISBANE man has been charged over a fatal crash on the Sunshine Coast which claimed the life of a Goodna man.
The crash happened in Forest Glen on February.
Around 6.45pm, a vehicle was travelling on the Bruce Highway when it allegedly lost control, mounted an embankment and rolled, landing on its roof.
The 21-year-old Goodna man died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, a 51-year-old Spring Hill man has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death whilst adversely affected and driving under the influence of liquor.
He will appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on June 26.
Meanwhile, police investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred in Rosemount, near Nambour, on April 27, have also charged a man.
Around 9.15pm, a ute was allegedly travelling east along Petrie Creek Road at Rosemount when it crossed into the path of a motorcyclist colliding.
A 32-year-old Rosemount woman was seriously injured.
A 38-year-old Maroochydore man charged with Dangerous Op Motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm and a separate charge of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in relation to dash cam footage taken from a witness.
He will appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on June 26.
