Man accused of killing 12 at US cinema will stand trial

THERE is enough evidence for the "Joker", accused of killing 12 innocent people and injuring 70 others at a US cinema last year, to stand trial, a judge has ruled.

Dressed in costume James Holmes allegedly went on a rampage at the premiere of the Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, in Colorado.

His lawyers told the court on Thursday he was not ready to enter a plea.
