Man airlifted after head-on collision

A MAN has been airlifted to Brisbane by LifeFlight after a head-on collision Kilcoy-Murgon Rd, Jimna.

A LifeFlight spokesperson said the man was travelling at about 80 km/h when his car collided head-on with another vehicle driven by a man in his 20s.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the 73-year-old-man to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment for suspected chest and pelvic injuries.

He travelled in a stable condition.

The man in his 20s was treated for minor injuries on-scene by the Queensland Ambulance Service.
