Man kicked in the face by a cow is airlifted to hospital

AN elderly man was airlifted to hospital after he was kicked in the face by a cow.

RACQ CareFlight Rescue was tasked to the man's property near Proston just before 9am this morning.

The man had been milking the cow when he was injured, suffering facial injuries.

He was treated on the scene by the Queensland Ambulance Service before being transported to Proston.

The patient was then airlifted by the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
