Man killed in tragic crash overnight
WITNESSES have described the scene of an accident which tragically claimed the life of a
Gatton man overnight.
At 6pm, a motorcycle and a ute travelling on Eastern Drive collided at the intersection of Gatton-
The 33-year-old motorbike rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Stacey Lousie was driving into Gatton and came across the accident soon after it occurred.
She told The Gatton Star emergency crews were still arriving as the motorcycle rider was lying
on the road.
"My cousin and I immediately felt for this man's family, and felt terrible that they would still be
expecting him home, unaware of what's happened," Ms Louise said.
Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed crews, including critical care paramedics, responded to
the crash at 6.22pm.
They described the motorcycle rider's injuries as "critical".
It was a horror night on the roads, with a second, unrelated crash occurring in the region less than
12 hours later.
Paramedics attended to a single-vehicle crash in Glamorgan Vale at 5.10am Saturday morning. A vehicle collided with a pole, and paramedics treated a male patient suffering facial injuries.
He was transported in a stable condition to Ipswich Hospital.
EARLIER: A man has died following a two-vehicle traffic crash at Gatton overnight.

The motorbike rider, a 33-year-old Gatton man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the ute, an 18-year-old Mount Sylvia man, was not physically injured.
It is less than two weeks after motorcyclist Brett Ritchie was killed on the road on his way home to Brisbane after visiting his parents in the Lockyer Valley.
He and his partner Eliza, who was on the back of the motorbike, were struck by another car turning at Regency Downs. Brett was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
