Man pleads guilty to child exploitation material charge
KYM Thomas Dungey has been sentenced in Rockhampton District Court after pleading guilty to possessing child exploitation material.
The court heard the 37-year-old was given 47 images of young girls by a man who was a father figure to him.
Dungey, who suffered a brain injury as a child, came to the attention of police when he tried to enlarge one of the photos at a retail store.

Judge Michael Barnett told the court Dungey still understood right from wrong and knew he should not have had the images.
The Yeppoon man was sentenced to 18 months' probation, 100 hours community service and a conviction was recorded.
