Matt Scott worried about Woods and Gallen plan

QUEENSLAND and  Kangaroos prop Matt Scott says he is concerned about the plan by NSW coach Laurie Daley to start with Aaron Woods and Paul Gallen in the front row in Origin game two in Sydney.

Scott told APN he feared injecting Cowboys and Australian team mate James Tamou off the bench could cause serious issues for the Maroons.

"I am surprised he is not starting because he is a good guy to have out there in those opening exchanges," Scott said.

"In saying that, the thought of him being used as an impact player with his size, speed and footwork, it's pretty scary."

Scott said he would not be surprised if next week's game was played in a similar style to Origin I in Brisbane last month, which many critics rated as one of the best since 1980.

"The stakes are even higher for us this time because it is a must-win game, and for them they'll be pumped about being able to wrap up the series," he said. "The intensity may even be increased.

He said the intensity and brutality of game one had left him feeling more sore than previous Origins.

"That's just my personal take on it, but you look at the other guys in the dressing sheds and everyone was busted and completely shattered."
