Mayoral candidates face the voters in Nanango

FOR the first time all five mayoral candidates faced the voters at last night's election forum in Nanango.

Grant Newson, Damien Tessmann, Sheena Lindholm, Keith Campbell and Mike Brown took answered questions about what they would do if elected mayor.

The forum was held at Taras Hall at the Nanango RSL and organised by the Nanango Tourism and Development Association.

All candidates from Division 1 and Division 2 attended and were given a few minutes to speak about what they wanted to be elected.

Candidates were asked their views on the road levy, the private hospital, tourism and accountability.

The South Burnett Times polled attendees on which candidates won them over on the night.

  • The Kingaroy Election Forum will be held on March 9 at 6pm at St John's Lutheran Hall.
  • The Murgon Election Forum will be held at Murgon RSL on March 10 at 6pm.
