MEGA-GALLERY: Broncos head west for fan day

IT MIGHT have been a day for Brisbane Broncos fans to get out and meet some of their idols, but for Broncos hooker Jake Turpin and his team, the Broncos Fan Day sponsored by Arrow Energy was all about making the town smile despite some tough times.

“Most of them don’t get the opportunity to come into town and see us very often so we come out here and try and put a smile on their face,” Turpin said.

“There’s a lot of people out here doing it tough with the drought, the farmers are out here dealing with the drought and the bushfires.

“Really, our main goal is to just put smiles on faces.”

The Broncos spent the day signing autographs, taking selfies, and playing touch football with some of their biggest fans in Dalby.

Fans also travelled from as far as Toowoomba and Nanango to meet the boys before they headed back to Brisbane in a LifeFlight helicopter.

Check out our mega-gallery of more than 70 photos from the day.
