The average South Burnett man earns about $53,000 and the average woman earns $34,000.
Figures show the biggest gap is in the technicians and trades industry, where South Burnett men get paid $37,900 a year more than women.
The second highest gap in the region is in professional roles, where men get paid about $20,800 a year more than women.
The lowest gap was in sales, where men get paid about $10,800 more than women on average.
The information was taken from the Australian Bureau of Statistics wage and salary earner figures.
