Miners in WA hit by earthquake
MINERS in West Australia's goldfields region were rocked by a 4.6 magnitude earthquake at about 11am eastern standard time on Wednesday.
The earthquake, monitored by Geoscience Australia, was recorded on Wednesday morning just west of Kalgoorlie, near Boulder in southern WA.
It is understood the quake could have been felt as far as 100km away from the site, and may have caused damage in a 10km radius from the area.
There have been no reports of injuries or deaths associated with the earthquake.
