Mischa Barton to compete on Dancing with the Stars

Mischa Barton is to compete on the next series of 'Dancing with the Stars'.

The former 'The O.C.' actress has signed up to strut her stuff on the dancefloor when the 22nd season of the ABC ballroom TV show hits screens later this month.

Mischa will be partner with returning professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev.

'Good Morning America' meteorologist Ginger Zee - who welcomed her first child, son Adrian, with her husband Ben Aaron in December - has also been revealed to be part of the celebrity line-up and will dance with Val Chmerkovskiy.

Other confirmed stars include 'Full House' actress Jodie Sweetin, 'Facts of Life' star Kim Fields, former 'America's Next Top Model' winner Nyle DiMarco and The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kim Fields. The full line-up will be announced on 'Good Morning America' on March 8.

Six-time Mirrorball champion Derek Hough will not be competing this year as he is rehearsing for his role in Broadway musical 'Singin' in the Rain', while his sister Julianne Hough will not be taking a seat on the judging panel after three series.

Fellow Judge Len Goodman will be back after missing last year's run and will be joined on the panel by Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews will host.
