MORE storms in Kingaroy and the South Burnett are likely on Sunday, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

BoM said there was an 80% chance of rain today, which could develop into thunderstorms in the late afternoon.

The South Burnett was lashed by wild weather on Friday and Saturday.

Some residents received more than 80mm of rain as hail smashed down outside Kingaroy, Nanango and Yarraman.

Thousands of homes across the region lost power during both storms.

More than 600 homes in Kingaroy and Nanango were still without due to fallen power lines on Sunday morning.
