Morgan Evans is fans' choice in CMC Country Music Awards

MORGAN Evans has dominated this year's CMC Country Music Awards.

The Newcastle singer/songwriter took home three awards at last night's ceremony at Hope Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley.

Evans was named Oz Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and his song Carry On was awarded Australian Video of the Year in the annual fan-voted awards hosted by The McClymonts.

To top things off his self-titled debut album hit stores yesterday.

Last year Evans was crowned the CMC New Artist of The Year and he has fast built a loyal fan base.

Evans performs at the three-day CMC Rocks the Hunter Music Festival, also hosted at Hope Estate, tonight.

This year saw the largest number of votes cast in the awards' history, with fans voting pint-sized singer Jasmine Rae Female Artist of the Year and The Wolfe Brothers New Oz Artist of the Year.

The Wolfe Brothers rose to fame as the runners up on the 2012 series of Australia's Got Talent.

A 30-minute awards special will premiere on CMC on March 31 at 7pm Qld, 8pm NSW.
