Motel development application approved by council

ONE company is on a mission to make sure there are vacancies in Kingaroy.

South Burnett Regional Council approved Super Turnkey's development application for a new motel development during the general meeting last Wednesday, April 17.

The material change of use application outlined plans for 20 units at 74 Youngman St.

Mayor Keith Campbell said the new motel development would boost accommodation by 20 rooms in the regional town.

Councillor Terry Fleischfresser said there had been an accommodation shortage in the South Burnett.

The short-term accommodation would have vehicle access on Youngman St and a minimum of 22 carparks.
