Motorcyclist dies after ute crosses into oncoming traffic
A 42-year-old man has died following a serious crash on the Bruce Highway at Griffin earlier this month.
Initial investigations indicate just after 5.30am on Friday, March 4, a sedan was driving north on the Bruce Highway, between Dohles Rocks Road and the Pine River Bridge.
The sedan attempted to change lanes and side-swiped a utility. The utility then crossed into the south-bound lanes where it then collided with a motorcycle that was travelling south.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 42-year-old man, was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital but died last night from injuries received in the crash.
The Forensic Crash Unit continue to investigate.
