Mayoral candidates have their say at Murgon forum

SOUTH Burnett council candidates have had one final opportunity to argue their case for election at a Murgon forum last night.

All five mayoral candidates and Councillor Ros Heit from division six and the chance to answer questions concerning the road levy, private hospital, tourism and debt management and whether the council should be supporting all pools, libraries and offices.

The forum invited Mayoral candidates for division six and Councillor Ros Heit and Uwe (Tom) Nowak a final chance to tell people their views and why people should vote for them.

Check out video from the forum below.

If you want to scrap the road levy, how would you raise funds to continue roadworks at the current level, or even increase spending on roads?

Do you think the council has made the right decision to take over the running of the Private Hospital and why?
